Art Instructor & Retreat Leader
Sharon is an artist and art teacher who has been training and mentoring young people in art for over 30 years. She holds a B.S.S.E. in Art Education from John Brown University and continued her studies to be certified to teach English from the University of Arkansas.
Sharon studied painting at Metropolitan in Denver and sculpting at Southern Illinois University. She has written over twenty books, available in e-book form and through Rainbow Resources, has three approved AP courses, and is the proprietor of the internationally known company Visual Manna.
Astronomy Instructor & Stargazing Guide
Jay is a semi-retired project manager who has presented at hundreds of education and public outreach events for the Astronomical Society of Kansas City over the past four decades.
He is a former chair of the ASKC's Education Department and has been a keyholder at Powell Observatory since 2007, bringing the wonders of the night sky to countless visitors through his engaging presentations and expert telescope guidance.
